We will start the tour in Netanya where the bikes are stored. A pick up in your hotel or meet at a pre-arranged place is also possible for an additional fee. We will ride south until we reach the city of Dimona. We will gradually make our way down south as the scenery around us is going to change into a desert. This part of the ride is a bit long but we will break it on the way. From Dimona we will ride though the large crater and go down the Scorpions Pass. An ancient caravan route used over 2,000 years ago. Will eventually get to the Syrian-African rift- the Arava and there we will take a short ride through the badlands. Before going stopping for the night, we will stop at a breathtaking viewpoint on Mt Sodom. In order to get to the viewpoint we will ride on a hard packed trail. We will stay in the city of Arad 550 meters above sea level. Based on staying in the Dead Sea Adventure hostel in a shared room.
We will start the day with a dramatic decent towards the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea. Riding south, we will see the lower part of Mt. Sodom and the famous Lot’s wife rock. Following that we will go tour Masada. The visit to Masada, a world heritage site takes about an hour and a half. Following lunch we will go experience floating in the Dead Sea.
The way back to Netanya will take us through Jerusalem.
